Carla Raads
Artist Carla Raads left her native South Africa at the age of 16 to begin new life and adventure in the UK. Drawn by the sea, her family settled in Lytham St Annes where she still works from today.
Carla went on to study fine art at Blackpool college and went on to study design and interiors at Manchester metropolitan university whilst also taking instruction and guidance from leading artists such as the late Phillippe Aird.
After university Carla built a career outside of the arts and didn't paint seriously again for 12 years before returning to art in 2017.
Originally working exclusively with her hands, Carla now lets the inspiration flow organically drawing inspiration from nature and stimulating the emotions of the viewer.
An artist in demand and on the rise, Carla has completed recent collaborations with the likes of Porsche Cars and Jumeirah hotels and we are thrilled to be representing her at our Hepplestone Fine Art galleries in Heskin, Lancashire and Wilmslow in Cheshire.
