Founded in 2005 by father and son team Clive & Giles Hepplestone, the Hepplestone Fine Art Gallery was born from a passion for quality art. As avid collectors, Clive and Giles recognised that the high street was dominated by galleries specialising largely in prints and sought to bring both affordable and collectable original paintings and high quality limited editions to Lancashire and the North West.
The gallery has grown to become one of the UK’s leading retail art galleries twice winning the title of ‘Retail Art Gallery of the Year’ from the Fine Art Trade Guild. The gallery now specialises in original paintings by artists from what has become known as the Northern School which is showcased in the Northern Art Lounge. Leading artists from this group include L S Lowry, Geoffrey Key, Theodore Major and James Lawrence Isherwood. The gallery also champions contemporary UK and international artists hosting personal appearances by artists from around the globe including Fabian Perez, Todd White, Philip Gray, Sherree Valentine Daines and Barry Hilton.
All of the artwork on display is hand picked by the Hepplestone’s team ensuring a wide selection of both subject matters and styles. From landscape to figurative, oils to pastels, the selection is truly diverse. As the Hepplestone team benefits from a mixture of both tastes and ages, most artistic flavours are covered.
Hepplestone Fine Art now has two locations, one in the heart of the Lancashire countryside in Heskin and the other in the beautiful Cheshire village of Wilmslow. The Heskin gallery is located in the grounds of Heskin Hall within the Heskin Hall Shopping Village only three miles off J27 of the M6 in Lancashire. The location offers easy access from many North West towns including Preston, Chorley, Liverpool, Wigan and Manchester. In contrast, the Wilmslow gallery is nestled amongst the boutiques and independent shops of Wilmslow and within easy reach of Manchester airport. Worldwide shipping is also available for international collectors who are unable to visit the galleries in person.
