Blog Week 49
Rozanne Bell joined us last Thursday evening for her first solo exhibition at the gallery and what an impression she made. Her vibrant and colourful compositions are undoubtedly influenced by her early years growing up in Zimbabwe and are a window into her warm and engaging persona.
Rozanne was a delight for everybody to meet and we are so grateful to everybody who came along on a very cold November evening. A wide selection of Rozanne Bell’s paintings are still on show in the gallery so if you missed out, do call in and take a look.
Rare Editions from Todd White
We were pleased this week to source two rare editions from Todd White both of which are from editions of only 25 worldwide.
The first of the two will be familiar to collectors who came along to the Todd White exhibition in October as we sold out of this piece on the evening. We are delighted to have sourced just one additional copy of Sugar or Chocolate from Todd’s day of the dead series which is available here now or in the gallery on a first come first served basis.
The second limited edition of only 25 worldwide has previously not been available in the UK and is taken from one of the original paintings recently sold at the gallery. ‘Bluebirds’ is a stunning group scene by Todd White which was widely admired by collectors in the gallery and we have purchased just one from the low US edition of 25. View the full details here now and don’t delay if you would like to own this rare edition.
Odette by Carl Payne
As well as the Todd White limited edition prints, we have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of the fabulous bronze sculpture by Carl Payne featuring Odette from Swan Lake. After what feels like an eternal build up of anticipation, the first of the 49 edition has arrived in the gallery this week and was indeed worth the wait. The first collectors to view the piece swiftly put their name on it but we are delighted that it is still on show until next week when another example will be in the gallery and available to purchase.
Do come and take a look at this piece is you appreciate elegant sculpture as it is a true show stopper and great value for such a stunning low edition piece. Full details can be found in our Carl Payne section by clicking here.
Lazy River by Frogman
And finally, some news on the incredibly popular Lazy River sculpture by the Frogman. Many collectors will have seen the Lazy River Kingfisher sculpture sat on a stunning stainless steel reed and meandering river that has been on show in the gallery. Due to changes in regulations in the US where the sculptures are made, it is no longer possible to produce this sculpture with the stainless steel elements so the final sculptures produced of this title will be made entirely in bronze rather than stainless steel.
Fortunately for us, and the lucky collectors who manage to acquire one, we have a small number of the stunning stainless steel versions in stock but these will be the last available. If you would like to acquire one while they are still available please do let us know as they won’t be available forever.
