New Todd White Collection
Last updated onWith our Todd White exhibition and appearance less than a week away we are thrilled to have received his latest limited edition print collection in readiness for the show. The new collection is amazing and covers many of the themes and subject matters that he has become so widely collected for.
The pieces are available to pre order now either by contacting the gallery or via the website and Todd will also be producing original sketches for every purchaser who is in attendance to collect their artwork on the evening of the 24th. Be Careful What You Wish For, Edition of 75, £1095
“We all have our ideas and fantasies of our perfect situation and sometimes we come across people that we think would be so great for us. They would fit our mold of what is perfect for us, but that doesn’t exist. Some people will find themselves in the position of almost getting what they think they want only to realize it’s not exactly anything like they wanted, sometimes against you and you end up in a worse position than when you started so be careful what you wish for.”

Even Broken Crayons Still Colour, Edition of 75, £1095
“This is a painting about a woman I know, she had a really terrible upbringing and a broken home. Dad wasn’t around much, mom left. She pretty much raised herself and while she might be tough as nails in that process, she didn’t have direction. Therefore, she had to figure everything out and made a lot of mistakes. Sometimes it’s hard to shake where you come from, and you find yourself on that same path. She still makes some bad decisions from emotional damage. Her saving grace is at her core she has a really good heart. People like that have to go through their own journey and where they end up is unpredictable. I think we all know people like that and I have a saying everybody is where they’re supposed to be. The decisions you make in life lead you to where you are now.”

“This is just a visual play on a very old saying. I think it applies more today than ever before with all the internet. Everything social media plays a big part of everybody wanting what they want, when they want it, how they want it, but at the end of the day, it’s more of a fantasy than a reality, after all, we all want what we want when we want it.”

Shifty Eyed Chefs, Edition of 75, £1450
“In the restaurant business, the chefs are a wild Bunch. They’re really good ones that come from a very hard process. They’ve gone through so much and feel like somebody else is out to get them. Of course, they have to fight through so much. It’s a craft where you cannot just solely focus on your craft, but yet you have to run a business as well, so I feel like the ones I know always have eyes in the back of their head. The kitchen unit runs like a family or even a military, and the chefs are the generals oversee everything every detail.”

The Screw Offs, Edition of 100, £1695
“The idea comes from the wine that comes in screw off lids. The wine culture is so vast and funny to me. I get so much inspiration from so many sayings and term analogies and people what they prefer and how they prefer it, their demeanor and their attitude. I think a lot of my work just puts a magnifying glass on a situation. But with alcohol You can watch a transformation happen, a shift you can start a night with a group and an hour later the attitude is completely changed for the most part. It’s better for people when they are looser, enjoying each other‘s company more. As the night goes on the characters come out.”

“I don’t know how much of a worldly comment this is but over here when you grab a Dandelion or throw a penny in a fountain people have always said make a wish. It was always fun to fantasize about what the wish would be. Obviously, it changes from a little kid wanting a new BMX bike to an adult fantasy.”
