Original oil on canvas painting by the late Yorkshire artist Peter Brook. A wonderful composition leading the viewer directly into the vista, the lady is hanging her washing on the line whilst Peter and the trademark sheep dog peruse the landscape from the gate across the road. Using an impression array of skills to create interest and perspective, this is a wonderful example of Peter’s mastery and a larger painting than many of his works.
