Rhyl by L S Lowry Original Drawing
An exquisite early original pencil drawing by the legendary northern artist L S Lowry of Rhyl. A frequent visitor to North Wales throughout his life, Lowry particularly enjoyed painting this area throughout the 1920s when he was a regular visitor. Capturing the quiet scene with the moored boats and a number of fishermen, this is a fine example of the period when Lowry’s works were more detailed than later sketches and compositions.
Offered professionally framed in a hand finished white gold leaf frame, the piece is initialled by Lowry and dated 1924.
