John Morris Bridge by Harold Riley

An original mixed media painting by the legendary Northern artist Harold Riley.  Although incredibly diverse with his subject matter, this fine example depicts his beloved home city of Salford which forms one of his richest veins of inspiration and has become one of his most collectible subjects since his days painting and sketching with Lowry.

Depicting a solitary figure walking near the canal with Salford’s architecture in the background, the painting is signed by Riley and dated 1976.
