Anthony Hunter

Born in Lancashire in 1987, Anthony Hunter's work has found a truly international collector base exhibiting predominantly in Los Angeles and New York.

Having graduated from Leeds Metropolitan University in 2009 from the ‘Contemporary Art Course’, he worked collaboratively with his twin brother James who he continues to work alongside today.

Anthony and James' break into the contemporary art market came after graduation landing a job sitting for Damien Hirst at the exhibition ‘POP LIFE’ at Tate Modern in London.  The role involved them sitting underneath a pair of Hirst’s spot paintings and was followed by Hirst employing them as painting assistants which culminated in them painting the spots rather than sitting beneath them.

Now represented by a leading gallery in Los Angeles, Hunter's work has been exhibited at art fairs in cities including New York and Miami.  Hepplestone Fine Art are honoured to represent Anthony's work in the UK through our galleries in his home county of Lancashire and also Wilmslow, Cheshire.
