Carl Payne 1969 – 2021
Last updated onIt was with immense sadness that we announced the loss of our friend and incredibly talented sculptor Carl Payne this week.
Carl’s sculpture has been a favourite with collectors in the gallery over the years and it has been a delight to have worked directly with him over the last two years bringing to market some of his most exclusive hand finished works.
Having studied at Burslem School of Art, the Henry Doulton School of Sculpture and then Stafford College, Carl Payne’s sculpture was figurative sculpture at the highest level. Completing high profile public art commissions including Sir Mat Busby outside Stoke Cities football ground, his legacy will live on in his outstanding works.
Carl’s belief and passion for his work was unwavering as was his intense love for his family who inspired him everyday. We send our sincere condolences to them whose loss is unimaginable for most of us.
