New from Geoffrey Key

Yesterday we had the great pleasure to meet up with Geoffrey Key at his studio in Salford to view his latest works and discuss where his artistic journey is taking him.

It is alway a great pleasure to spend time with Geoffrey and discuss the art world and hear the views of such an established stalwart of the northern art scene who has seen more than most and mixed and mingled with the greats of the northern art movement.  There is nothing better however than having the great privilege to peruse his available paintings and select one or two to bring back to the gallery for our lucky collectors to appreciate.

The first of the two new paintings available now is titled ‘Birds and Clouds’ and features a subject matter that has been sought after by Key collectors over the decades.  Having produced a series of birds which provided the basis for one of Geoffrey’s books, he revisited the subject matter in 2022 for a small selection of wonderful paintings.  This particular example is from this collection of works and is available now for the first time.

The second painting is a more recent painting by the artist from his array of landscape paintings featuring the rolling hills and stylised trees which have become such a recognisable trademark of his work.

Both paintings come directly from the artist’s studio and are database logged by the artist and signed and titled.  Do call into the gallery and view these magnificent paintings in person and do not hesitate to contact us with any questions.
