Blog Week 40
Last updated onFabian Perez Exhibition
The exciting news this week is the announcement of our first artist appearance since before the pandemic. We are thrilled to be able to confirm that Fabian Perez will be flying in from his home in California to showcase his works once more and meet all of you enthusiastic collectors.
In order to make the event as safe as possible, we will be pre booking time slots with limited visitor numbers so if you would like to attend the exhibition on 19th November do contact us at the gallery and we can book you in for a place. The exhibition will include an amazing array of Fabian Perez original paintings along with rare and sold out limited editions. Further information will be emailed out to mailing list clients soon but do contact us at sales@hepplestonefineart.com if you would like further information.
New Northern Art
Lots of new editions and original paintings have arrived in the gallery this week including two rare limited edition prints by the one and only L S Lowry.
Such has been the demand for Lowry’s editions in recent months, very few have even made it onto the website having been snapped up immediately so we are pleased to finally have a selection on the gallery walls.
The first of the two new Lowry arrivals is the amazing Britain at Play. As one of his physically larger limited edition prints, Britain at Play is a classic industrial landscape from Lowry showing the hustle and bustle of the figures in the park, shadowed by the industrial chimneys in the distance. Although this rarely comes to market, many examples are badly faded with little colour remaining in the terraced houses in the foreground so it is a joy to have this fine example available.

The second piece is taken from a 1929 black and white sketch entitled ‘St Mary’s Beswick’. This is from a smaller numbered edition of just 500 published by Grove Galleries and once again is a fabulous example in great condition.

Along with the new Lowry editions, we also have new originals from his contemporary and fellow Northern artist James Lawrence Isherwood. The latest piece on show is a wonderfully colourful early 1970s painting of Blenheim.
Untouched for nearly fifty years, this amazing painting has just undergone an extensive clean and reframe and the colours and textures now look as fresh as the day it was painted. Priced at just £1495, it offers wonderful value for such a beautiful original work and really deserves viewing in person.
New from Neil Dawson
Following our successful Neil Dawson exhibition last month, we have just taken delivery of two new original paintings by the talented cityscape artist.

Both capturing the essence of city life, the two new pieces are both striking examples and with one small and one large, hopefully there is something for everybody.

Rare Early Works from Barry Hilton
Along with these contemporary modern works, we have also acquired some early paintings from Barry Hilton this week which demonstrate his evolution as an artist since his early days in Cornwall in the 1970s.
Both the early landscape and small galleon painting look magnificent in the gallery and sit alongside our current selection of modern Hilton landscapes that we currently have on show.
