Week 4 BlogLast updated on
We are delighted to be able to confirm this week that we will be hosting a fantastic exhibition of new original paintings and collectable limited edition prints by Barry Hilton in February 2017.
Lancashire artist Barry Hilton has been one of our best selling artists for many years and the intense demand for his original paintings has made holding an exhibition very difficult. We are thrilled to have secured a stunning collection paintings however so hope you can come along and appreciate his atmospheric landscape paintings.
This exhibition will run over the weekend of 25-26th February with a special preview evening on Thursday 23rd February. If you would like to attend the preview, please contact the gallery at email@example.com for full details.
Some superb new paintings have arrived in the gallery this week including four beautiful new James Lawrence Isherwood pieces. Isherwood’s paintings continue to sell quickly with three rare pieces selling again this week so if you would like to view these Northern art paintings, do not delay and contact the gallery asap.
On a less positive note, we have also seen a number of none genuine Isherwood paintings in the last few weeks brought into the gallery by unsuspecting unfortunate collectors. In this environment, authenticity and provenance are increasingly important so do contact us before taking the plunge without well founded guidance.
We have also enjoyed a long awaited shipment from the Frogman Tim Cotterill this week with the hottly anticipated return of Lazy River, the stunning bronze Kingfisher sculpture. This beautiful Frogman bronze has proved to be one of his fastest selling so do call in if you would like to own one before they sell out.
The latest Frogman sculpture, ‘Lookin for Love’, is also now in the gallery for immediate sale. In addition to the standard limited edition of 500, we also have one rare artist proof of Lookin for Love from an edition of only 50. A perfect Valentines gift for your frog loving loved ones!
Giles and Gilly on BBC Radio Lancashire
Giles was featured again this week on John Gillmore’s afternoon radio show with his monthly art chat which you can hear again for the next couple of weeks on the iplayer here. Hopefully artist Philip Gray will be joining Giles and Gilly in March on the show in preparation for his 17th March exhibition so do tune in if you can.
