Week 3 BlogLast updated on
Another busy week in the gallery comes to an end with the conclusion of our successful annual sale. We had an amazing collection of works on offer at incredible prices making room for all the new paintings that we have lined up for 2017. Thank you to everybody who came along and bagged a bargain and do keep an eye on the ‘SALE’ section of the website for a selection of remaining pieces.
We also released our exhibition schedule this week for the coming year and are delighted that some of our most long standing and popular artists will be back with us including Fabian Perez, Todd White and the Frogman, Tim Cotterill. Our Irish favourite Philip Gray will also be back on St Patrick’s Day (March 17th) for an exhibition of his breathtaking mountain and seascape paintings so do make a note of that one in the diary.
Please note that although these dates are currently booked in, they may be subject to change by a day or so nearer the time but we will keep you up to date should anything change.
In addition to this packed schedule, we are also hoping to finalise an exciting exhibition shortly of new works by the ever popular Lancashire artist, Barry Hilton.
Scheduled for the end of February confirmed dates will be published shortly so keep an eye out over the next week or so for the finalised dates and register your details if you are not already on the mailing list.
New In This Week
As always, we are working hard to source the best examples of work by all our artists which is challenging, particular with artists such as Isherwood and Lowry who are no longer with us. This being said, we have acquired two stunning new Isherwood paintings this week which will be appearing on the website in the next couple of weeks once they are back from the framer. Beautiful new original works from David Renshaw and still life artist Javier Mulio have also been loaded on the website this week so do take a look.
Geoffrey Key announced a price increase this week, effective from 1st February, on all of his original paintings in the region of 10-11% – great news for those who already own his work and a short term opportunity for those who have been thinking about investing in a Geoffrey Key to get in before they go up. Please contact the gallery if you are interested in owning a piece of work by Salford’s Geoffrey Key as we will be out on a last minute buying spree this week.
Also this week, another one of our existing artists has joined the UK’s largest fine art publishing company, Demontfort Fine Art, following in the footsteps of Todd White, Barry Hilton, Steven Smith and Kerry Darlington amongst others. Kevin Bandee has joined the publishing house and we look forward to watching his career develop to the next stage. We have a couple of pieces currently in stock from before his signing should you wish to take a look and get involved watching his career develop.
