Seeing the Would? Through the Trees by Temper
In this piece the DUDE iLLiN character is standing still, taking a moment to see his direction on the map, the map resembles the great pyramid, a constant influence of Temper’s outlook in life. The tree to the right and in the foreground suggests the tree of life. The forest in the background is a form of symbolism – stop ‘For rest’, plan and find direction again.
No Boundaries is a collection of private sketches from the artist now made available through Hepplestone’s. The 10 sketches in black ink are almost like etchings in their appearance and tell the story of exploration, direction and the unknown.
No Boundaries sees the artist sketch a self perspective statement for his next stage of his career whereby the horizon is still limitless. Within the sketches we see his characteristic figures exploring symbolic visual devices are used within the pieces, binoculars, telescopes and compass, torches and campfires are there as a salute to creating light from darkness, being from Wolverhampton where the city motto is “out of darkness cometh light” is one such observation.
Each piece connected to the narrative explained by Temper himself , “ Currently, the journey I have been on has been 14 years setting the foundations as a semi professional artist and 25 years professionally thereafter, this has made my creative journey very colourful with many up’s and down’s and boundaries that have been pushed.
Each Temper piece from the No Boundaries collection is signed by the artist, offered with a certificate of authenticity and professionally framed with clarity glass.
