Signed limited edition L S Lowry print entitled The Pond.

Many of Lowry’s industrial landscapes were almost dreamscapes, combinations of places observed and absorbed and subsequently stitched together in his incredible compositions.  The lake featured in the Pond is believed to be in Salford, a regular walking area for Lowry and a great influence on the work of the first half of his life.  The detail in the background however appears more generic with the iconic Stockport viaduct stretching across the right hand side of the piece and punctuated with chimneys and factories which would have been so prevalent in 1950 when the original painting was created.

One of Lowry’s best quality reproductions, the quality of this edition is second to none and is hand signed by Lowry and stamped by the fine art trade guild.  Beautifully framed in a white gold leaf frame and complementary mount.
