An original oil on board painting by the late Wigan artist James Lawrence Isherwood.

Featuring the figures with flat caps and shawled Wigan ladies that Isherwood has become so widely collected for, this vibrant composition also features the local mills and dogs which appear in his best figures paintings.. This particular fine example has been in one private collection for many decades since it was purchased from an Isherwood exhibition in Wigan in the 1970s.
