Bolton Mill Scene by James Lawrence Isherwood

A truly unique painting by the late Lawrence Isherwood depicting the working class figures outside Horrocks Mill in Bolton.  Like Lowry, Mill Scenes were such a classic subject matter of the period for Isherwood but very few exist in this style.  Dated 1981, this rare painting is signed by the artist, titled to the reverse and professionally framed.
