Casimiro Perez
Casimiro Pérez, born in 1959 in Alcoy, Alicante, Spain, is a distinguished artist celebrated for his vibrant and textured compositions. He began his formal art education at the School of Fine Arts in Alcoy and later advanced his studies in Valencia, where he developed a profound affinity for marine subjects, a theme that has become central to his work.
Pérez’s artistic journey is marked by a continuous pursuit of growth and innovation. Despite his extensive experience, he remains committed to refining his skills, undertaking further studies at the University of Valencia. This dedication has led him to explore contemporary styles, including abstract sculptural paintings, which have garnered significant recognition.
His distinctive style is characterized by the use of bright, luminous colors set against pale backgrounds, creating a striking contrast that brings his subjects to life. Pérez often employs aerial perspectives, particularly in his depictions of coastal scenes and crowds, adding a unique dimension to his work. The incorporation of textured elements and three-dimensional effects further enhances the tactile quality of his paintings, inviting viewers to engage more deeply with his art.
Throughout his career, Pérez has participated in over 100 exhibitions worldwide, including solo and group shows in cultural centers, banks, and official institutions. His first solo exhibition took place in 1981, marking the beginning of a prolific exhibition history.
