This painting is one of the largest and most impressive Isherwood paintings that you will ever see – one that must be viewed in person to really appreciate it’s impact. With a stunningly vibrant colour palette and packed with content this is a truly impressive addition to any serious Isherwood collection.
Dated 1962 and inscribed on the reverse ‘to Lily’.
The second piece in the new selection is also an iconic London scene depicting tug boats on the Thames in the shadow of Tower Bridge.
