Blog Week 51

Last updated on

With only a few days to go before Christmas the gallery has been busy with collections and last minute shoppers picking up gifts.  It seems many of you who have been admiring pieces of art for some time have decided to take the plunge for Christmas and buy that ever lasting personal gift.  With pieces moving fast, we suggest acting without delay if you have had your eye on a specific piece.  Feel free to call us to reserve the piece that you have been wanting and we will be open until 2pm on Christmas Eve for collections.

New from Geoffrey Key

The three new oil paintings are classic Geoffrey Key and include an amazing figurative painting along with a landscape painting and still life.  It is a great pleasure to be able to showcase the works of one of Northern Art’s most collectable and unique artists and you can view all the pieces by clicking on the Geoffrey Key gallery here.

Other New Arrivals This Week

Along with new paintings from Geoffrey Key, we have also managed to acquire new works from regulars such as Anne Blundell, Terry Evans and Jay Nottingham, not to mention limited editions from Tom Butler.

Tom Butler’s imaginative collage cityscapes are new to the gallery but have taken collectors by storm with the several examples already selling in the gallery.  New works include a collection of three small limited edition prints depicting London and New York along with the final available copy of the sell out edition Subliminial Messages.  Please note that this one is the very final edition available so if it takes your fancy, do not delay.

Having had no original paintings available from Tarleton’s Anne Blundell due to demand, we are pleased to have two new paintings just in today.  Both are stunning including Sheep Amongst Snowdrops shown below with full details available here.

Carl Payne Sell Out

The ‘Odette’ bronze sculpture from Carl Payne is also proving incredibly popular and since our initial announcement of it’s launch two weeks ago, the edition of 49 has already sold out at the publisher.

As admirers of Carl’s work, we have acquired the final copies of the edition so if you have had this piece on your short list, do let us know as soon as possible while stocks last.  If you haven’t seen it in the flesh, it really is worth a look in person.

Christmas Opening Times

The gallery will be open as usual until 2pm on Christmas Eve and will reopen on Thursday 28th December.  We hope to see as many of you as possible in the run up to Christmas but if we don’t manage to catch up, we wish you and your families all a very Merry Christmas and look forward to seeing you in the New Year.
