Blog Week 39Last updated on
This week we have been on the acquisition trail, sourcing a whole selection of rare limited edition prints that are currently not available anywhere else along with one of original paintings from years gone by.
Sold Out Editions from Fabian Perez
The rare limited edition prints include four completely sold out editions from Argentina’s Fabian Perez which are some of his most sought after small sized editions and include Hollywood Nights, Night Club and Proud to be a Man.
Each with an image size of 9″ x 12″, these are some of his most popular editions so don’t delay and check out the full and current availability on our Fabian Perez page now.
Rare Editions from Todd White
Along with these fantastic Perez editions, we have also acquired two super rare Todd White limited edition giclees including Forever Dueling below.
Embellished giclee on canvas, this edition was only published and numbered from an edition of 35 worldwide, that’s right, just 35!!! Remember, we only have one so check it out in our Todd White gallery now to ensure we still have it.
The second of the Todd White’s is ‘On Again Off Again’, another completely sold out and previously unavailable embellished limited edition. Once again we only have one so don’t delay if you love this fab edition.
Distant Dreams II by Barry Hilton
Barry Hilton’s original paintings continue to be some of our most sought after in the gallery and the limited editions consistently sell out after release. For this reason, we are pleased this week to be able to offer just one example of the sold out edition, Distant Dreams II. Produced from an embellished edition of just 195, it is now sold out everywhere and therefore very rarely ever available.
Along with this sought after limited edition, we have also been privileged to be able to acquire the following breathtaking original oil by Barry. Demonstrating his classic stormy skyscape, the colours in this amazing piece are fabulous and really are a treat to behold.
Back in Stock from Sherree Valentine Daines
The final rare editions back available this week come from Sherree Valentine Daines, the ever popular impressionist artist. Both Midsummer Daisies and Summer Breezes are back available with only one of each so click here now to check availability and secure now.
Exploring Croston with Michael Ashcroft
Along with the limited edition prints, we have also had some amazing new original paintings arrive in the gallery this week.
A whole new collection of landscape paintings by the talented local artist Michael Ashcroft are in the gallery now featuring a selection of studies of Croston village.
Six new paintings take the viewer around some of the most iconic views of the village where the artist grew up in his recognisable style. All of the paintings are available to view on the website now or even better in the gallery.
Northern Art from Geoffrey Key and Theodore Major
Original paintings from Northern artists continue to be some of our most in demand pieces in the gallery and this week we have acquired stunning examples from two of our most collectable.
Two new oil paintings from Geoffrey Key are now on show including a brilliant industrial landscape from 2011.
Rarely does Key tackle the industrial landscape today as the scenes are now almost all gone from our northern towns. In this rare composition however we see all of the familiar sights of the Stockport landscape so familiar in a whole generations worth of paintings but in Key’s recognisable style. A rare opportunity to purchase such a super example of the genre.
Both of this weeks new Geoffrey Key’s are available to view now on a first come basis.
In addition to the two new Key paintings, we are also honoured to have another original artwork dating back to the 1940s from the legendary Theodore Major.
As our avid collectors will have seen, the demand for works by the late Appley Bridge artist has been intense this year with every piece coming to market being snapped up within weeks.
This particular example is an incredibly rare work on canvas dating back to pre 1950 and depicts the solitary figure trudging up the empty snow lined Wigan street of the artist’s home town. Signed and titled on the reverse, we encourage serious Major collectors to view this incredible example in person, it will not disappoint.
