Looking Forward to Welcoming You Back

May we start by wishing you and all your families well and hope that you are all keeping safe and healthy in these strange times.

Although the gallery is still closed, we are looking forward to reopening and welcoming you back from the 18th June to come and enjoy the artwork on offer. We have been working hard behind the scenes repainting the gallery and preparing to get ourselves Covid safe, installing screens, sanitiser stations and social distancing signage.

The gallery is looking fabulous and we have taken every precaution to make your visit is as safe a possible, both for yourselves and our team. Initially we will be opening on reduced days from Thursday-Sunday each week with private viewings available on the alternative days by appointment for those who would feel more comfortable with a personal experience.

Unfortunately due to the current travel restrictions and limits on large groups, we have had to cancel our Fabian Perez exhibition scheduled for early June along with the Frogman’s exhibition in September. We have not had confirmation with regards to Todd White’s exhibition in October yet but will keep you up to date as things evolve.

Despite the disappointment of having to cancel the artist appearances, we will still be bringing you some wonderful exhibitions and upon reopening will have two unbelievable collections on show alongside our normal work. The diverse collection of original paintings by Barry Hilton which were planned for our March exhibition will be on show along with an unseen collection of original works by the late Theodore Major.

Since his death in Appley Bridge in 1999, Major’s works have been exhibited in museum exhibitions including a ‘Two Lancashire Artists’ exhibition along L S Lowry but has rarely been available to purchase widely in galleries. It is therefore a great honour to be able to reopen the gallery with a collection of twelve museum quality paintings by the Twentieth Century master who is becoming one of Northern Arts’ hottest properties.

Along with these incredible original paintings, we have also taken deliveries from some of our most popular contemporary artists including new works from David Renshaw¬†today and the new Frogman bronze ‘Monet’ will also be in stock soon.

We would like to thank our loyal customers for their support while we have been closed and have genuinely missed catching up and helping you build your collections. We will be thrilled to welcome you back from the 16th June and if we can be of assistance in the meantime, please do let us know. Stay safe.
