Blog Week 21Last updated on
Lots of new paintings have arrived this week from some of our best selling artists along with some new additions. A nostalgic collection of limited edition prints by Craig Everett are now on show and accompanied by a beautiful original painting entitled ‘Give Us a Buzz’.
Born in 1969 on a council estate in Bradford, Northern England, Craig Everett was born into a decade of punk rock, Doc Martins and skateboards.
Craig Everett first started painting after attending a print and graphic design course in the late 80’s, which led to him working for the next 20 years as a printer’s artist (graphic designer). For the past 9 years Craig has been involved (under an alias) in the London ‘Urban Art’ scene, which has led him to do the thing he loves full time and professionally.
Craig’s new work embodies all of his influences and features his totally unique style of painting. Delicate fine lines of random spectrum, passionately embrace colour and bring to life his ‘Scallywag and Fairies’ and ‘Once upon a grime’ collections.
Along with newcomer Everett, we also welcome in new works from some of our best sellers including Philip Gray and Barry Hilton. Philip is always popular with his amazing mountainscapes and two breathtaking examples are in this week. A fabulous oil and pastel are available to view now on the website and in the gallery on a first come first served basis.
Two new Barry Hilton landscapes are also available in the gallery now in his recognisably stunning colour palette. These two fabulous examples will be followed shortly by two smaller harbour paintings so keep an eye on the website for these as undoubtebly they won’t be around for long.
Richard Telford is also back in the fold afer a long wait. As one of our most in demand artists a couple of years ago, it has been a frustrating wait for collectors with a severe shortage of new available paintings. We have this week however managed to acquire two beautiful new Parisien paintings which are absolutely brilliant and well worth the long wait!
Gallery favourite and artist to the Royals, Sherree Valentine Daines, is also back with one of her strongest collections to date. Featuring some elegant society scenes and the gorgeous ‘Boys Toys’ shown centrally below, these beautiful editions are in stock now for immediate delivery.
On the Northern Art front, we have recently acquired a charming painting by the late William Ralph Turner which has just been framed in our very own exclusive, 12ct white gold frame with grey hand painted finish. The painting which depicts Chorlton-on-Medlock was painted by Turner who boasted being the only artist to paint Lowry from life and was collected by the likes of Sir Peter Ustinov and Lord Coe in his lifetime. This amazing piece of Northern Art history will be accompanied next week by new arrivals and rare editions from the likes of L S Lowry and Lawrence Isherwood.
