Blog Week 21

Last updated on

The last week has been a whirlwind with our Todd White exhibition dominating proceedings. May we take the chance to thank everybody who came along and made it a fantastic evening, hopefully you all enjoyed it as much as we did.

Todd White was on great form too and graciously sketched all the lucky buyers on the evening on their very own framed art board so a great momento for everybody involved. The new limited edition releases were received fantastically with near sell outs on certain editions including the new Wizard of Oz edition, ‘Flying Over the Poppies’. We are thrilled to say that we still have limited availability on most titles include ‘Flying Over the Poppies’ and ‘Take Me With You When You Go’ which are both nearly gone so please do contact the gallery if you didn’t get the chance to purchase your favourite.

We still have some fabulous original Todd White paintings for sale as well so again do get in touch without delay if you are interested in owning something original. Originals available include the fabulous ‘Trapeze’ which was chosen by Todd White to be published as a limited edition some years ago which is an incredibly sought after proposition.

A selection of photographs from the exhibition are available to view on our Facebook page along with the TV coverage in the build up to the event as featured on That’s TV Lancashire. If you missed it, below is another chance to catch Todd’s interview.

Next Stop Mackenzie Thorpe

Our next artist appearance will take place on 4th July and features another internationally collected artist with a long history with the gallery.

Born in Middlesborough, Mackenzie Thorpe celebrates his 30th year in the art business this year and has also been awarded the freedom of the city of Middlesborough this year and the honour of being the official artist for the 2019 Tour De Yorkshire. Hot from a tour of Japan last month, Mackenzie will be at the gallery on the evening of the 4th July to discuss the inspiration behind his works that have made him so collectible around the world.

He was also featured this week on BBC Breakfast news so if you missed it and would like to view it, you can watch it again by clicking here – Mackenzie on The BBC

If you are not already on the mailing list for events and would like to attend the Mackenzie Thorpe exhibition, please contact the gallery at to receive an invitation.
