 Sherree Valentine Daines BiographySherree Valentine Daines was born in Effingham in Surrey. After completing her early education Valentine Daines undertook a fine art course at the Epsom School of Art. As soon as she graduated she set about persuading local institutions to exhibit her work and her success was immediate.
Sherree Valentine Daines soon came to the notice of the art world and won a number of accolades including the Young Artist of the Year Award from the Royal Society and has recently won the accolade of Impressionist Artist of the Year.
Sherree has become a chronicler of English society with many of her pictures depicting the glamour of sporting occasions such as Royal Ascot and Henley Regatta. Other popular subjects include her studies of children playing on the beach, nostalgic images of happy times which many of her admirers recall fondly. Many of these Sherree Valentine Daines paintings are studies of her own children.
High profile commissions have included paintings of Sir Michael Parkinson, Anna Chancellor, Johnny Wilkinson and Joanna Lumley. In fact, Johnny Wilkinson was the subject of a painting entitled 'Deliverance' which depicted his Rugby World Cup winning kick against Australia. The original painting was purchased by Johnny Wilkinson and was followed up by a portrait of him for his home in France.
Numerous television appearances have also boosted Sherree Valentine Daines' position in the consciousness of the general public including her appearance on ITV's This Morning program in 2009 when she presented Fern Briton with a portrait of herself.
